Black Alumni Collective National Conference

The University of Pittsburgh and the Pitt African American Alumni Council (AAAC) are honored to host the 2026 Black Alumni Collective Conference from May 28-31, 2026

Conference Theme: “The Fierce Urgency of Now: Black Advocacy from Campus to Corporate to Congress”

In a moment of rapid change, the need for strong leadership and meaningful impact is greater than ever. The 2026 Black Alumni Collective National Conference embraces the theme “The Fierce Urgency of Now: Black Advocacy from Campus to Corporate to Congress.” This gathering invites us to explore ways to strengthen influence and create meaningful progress across education, industry, and government. Together, we will share strategies, build connections, and accelerate change that uplifts Black communities nationwide.

 

Award for Black Alumni Excellence: This award recognizes Black alumni associations for years of active engagement, leadership, and consistent outreach within their association, the Collective, and the communities they serve. Previous recipients include The Citadel African American Alumni Association (CA4), Duke Black Alumni, and The University of South Carolina Black Alumni Council.

Shining Star Award: This award is for Black alumni associations with growing work and impact and have demonstrated incredible leadership as they strengthen their work and reach. Recipients include Auburn University Black Alumni Council and Old Dominion University Black Alumni Chapter.

Online voting is now open, and the Black Alumni Collective Board will make the final selection. The winners of the two awards will be announced and presented with the awards during our 2026 National Conference
